When is the best time to go to Brazil?

With this comes a big difference: Rio de Janeiro's is celebrated in the streets and in the stadium while Salvador's is only in the street, greatly affecting the price. With ticket prices costing from $70 all the way up to $500 to enter the stadium it is pricey to get in, more if a box or allocated seat is requested.

Is it easy to travel around Brazil by public transport?

Brazil has numerous bus companies as well as low cost airlines. It is usually possible to turn up at the bus station and buy your bus ticket on the day if taking a short distance bus; advance bookings are recommended if you are travelling long distances. Note, for long distance travel check prices of low cost airlines as they can be cheaper than the bus. Between Amazon cities travel by boat, but be sure to buy your ticket from an authorised vendor.

Is English spoken in Brazil?

In the big cities and tourist areas you will find many people who speak English including all those who work in tourism. It is always advised to learn a little basic Portuguese because outside of the major tourist destinations, English is in short supply. While a lot of people will be able to make their way around using basic Spanish and be understood by the nationals, this isn't always the case in the opposite side.

I'm going to Iguazu Falls. Should I go to both the Brazilian and Argentinean side? This can be the best way of seeing both?

Most tourists decide to see both sides of Iguazu Falls as they offer completely different experiences. On the Argentinean side you can get really close up, whereas the Brazilian side offers a panorama across the falls. Travelling to the Argentinean side from Brazil for the day, the best option is to take a shuttle provided by your hostel or hotel. Public buses crossing the border don't go direct to the falls, so you will either have to walk a long way or wait a long time for a connection.
